Workshop Description:
Thinking about Stanford’s Physician Assistant Program and wondering what it truly takes to stand out? Join us for a practical, motivating workshop with Xue Tao, MS, Director of Admissions for Stanford’s Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies. You’ll get an insider view of how applications are reviewed, what signals readiness for rigorous training, and how to strengthen your profile whether you’re coming from community college, a four-year university, or a nontraditional path. We will cover how to frame your experiences, choose meaningful clinical and service opportunities, and communicate your story with clarity and purpose, not buzzwords.
Most importantly, this is your chance to hear directly from the source instead of second-hand advice, outdated myths, or people who have no clue how admissions decisions are actually made. Come ready to ask your questions and get real answers about prerequisites, patient care experience, interviews, letters of recommendation, and what “fit” means at Stanford. You’ll leave with clear next steps and renewed confidence to aim higher and apply smarter.
