About the Speaker:
Angela was born and raised in Southern California. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) in 2021 with a degree in Neuroscience and a minor in Chicana/o and Central American Studies. She took a gap year before medical school, where she worked as a medical scribe in sports medicine, led the advocacy committee for a UCLA-based community organization, and volunteered as a Health Coach at community health centers in Riverside County. Angela is currently a first-year medical student at the University of California, San Francisco School of Medicine (UCSF SOM). She is passionate about community health and hopes to be a leader in bridging the gaps in Latinx health.
