Workshop Description:
For community college and university students considering veterinary medicine, this workshop offers a rare opportunity to learn directly from Karl E. Jandrey, DVM, DACVECC, Associate Dean of Admissions and Student Programs at the UC Davis Weill School of Veterinary Medicine. Students will gain insight into academic preparation, prerequisite planning, veterinary and animal experience, application strategy, and the qualities admissions leaders consider when evaluating future veterinary students. Whether you are beginning your journey at a community college, preparing to transfer, or getting ready to apply, this session will help you better understand how to build a thoughtful and competitive path toward the DVM. Come, ask your questions, and get answers directly from someone who helps shape the admissions process. Hear directly from the source instead of relying on second hand information, bad advice, or people who have no clue about veterinary school admissions. Do not leave your future to guesswork. Show up, ask the questions that matter, learn what admissions leaders want you to understand, and leave with information you can actually use. Your DVM dream deserves more than uncertainty. Come ready to turn questions into clarity, preparation into confidence, and your goal of veterinary medicine into a path you can begin building today.
