Ken Tao, PhD, Vice President
Director of MCAT
MedSchool Coach
Saturday, January 31, 2026
10am-11:30am PST
Workshop Description:
Starting pre-med can feel like drinking from a firehose: classes, clinical hours, research, volunteering, the MCAT, and a thousand opinions about what “matters.” This workshop is your step-by-step roadmap for what to focus on in Year 1 and Year 2, whether you’re at a community college, a university, or planning to transfer. Dr. Ken Tao will break down how early course choices connect to MCAT content, how to build strong study systems before your schedule gets intense, and how to prioritize experiences without burning out or wasting time. You’ll leave with a clear timeline for academics, testing, and activities, plus practical strategies for mastering science courses and staying competitive long-term. Most importantly, you can come ask your questions and get real answers in a live Q&A. Skip the second-hand advice, the myths, and the loud opinions from people who don’t actually understand the admissions process. Hear directly from an expert who helps students plan smarter, study better, and move forward with confidence.
