About the Speaker:
Ravi Uppal, DO is a current PGY6 Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow at Good Samaritan University Hospital in West Islip, NY. He is originally from British Columbia, Canada but moved to the United States to complete a bachelor’s Degree in Neurobiology, Physiology and Behavior at UC Davis. After his time at UC Davis, he worked for Kaplan Inc as an MCAT class instructor and a research assistant at the Van Winkle environmental toxicology lab at UC Davis. He then pursued his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine at the Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine (NSU-COM) in Ft Lauderdale. He later went on to residency training in Pediatrics at Good Samaritan University Hospital, followed by a PGY4 chief residency year at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai, Elmhurst Hospital. After residency Ravi decided to pursue a fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine. His professional interests include medical education, simulation, disaster preparedness, and medical trainee wellness.
