Workshop Description:
The MCAT can feel like a black box: everyone has opinions, everyone has a “secret strategy,” and much of it is noise. In this workshop, Dr. Ken Tao, Vice President and Director of MCAT at MedSchoolCoach, will break the exam down with clarity and precision so you know exactly what you’re preparing for. You will learn how the MCAT is structured, what each section tests, and how the content connects to the courses you take in community college, university, or a post-bacc program, including biology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, biochemistry, psychology, and sociology. Dr. Tao will also share how to build a realistic study plan that fits your schedule, avoid common traps that waste months, and focus on high-yield skills like passage analysis and active recall. This is your chance to hear directly from the source rather than second-hand advice, outdated myths, or people who have no clue how the admissions process and the MCAT actually work. Come ready to ask your questions and get clear, honest answers.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Ken Tao graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering and a Bachelor of Arts in Molecular and Cell Biology. He was elected to both Phi Beta Kappa and Tau Beta Pi and received the Jeffrey A. He went on to complete a Ph.D. in Neuroscience at Harvard University and Harvard School of Medicine.
