About the Speaker:
Niloufar Mohajerani attended De Anza Community College, majoring in Biology, and then transferred to UC Davis, where she majored in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. At UC Davis, Niloufar developed a passion for research and for teaching children in underserved areas of Sacramento about the importance of oral health and hygiene.
During the 2017 commencement ceremony at UC Davis, Niloufar was honored with the Undergraduate Student of the Year award for her academic excellence, research contributions, and service to the campus and community. Later that year, she began her dental education at UCSF. While at UCSF, she developed a passion for orthodontics and became involved in various research projects, studying the mechanics of tooth movement. She fulfilled her dream of joining an orthodontics residency program at UCLA, where she simultaneously completed a three-year residency and earned a master’s degree in science.
In addition to her professional achievements, Niloufar enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, skiing, and traveling. She also loves spending time with family and friends and exploring new places in town!
