Workshop Description:
Have you served in the military? Have you struggled with transitioning from military to Community College? Do you know the steps to take to be competitive? Do you know how to find your resources at Community College or at a large University in California?
Then come and meet Dr. Raggow who transitioned from US Navy to Community College and UC Davis, and then gained admission and was part of the first class from UC Riverside School of Medicine.
About the Speaker:
Dr. Isaiah Roggow was born in a small town in northern Michigan. Upon graduation from high school, he joined the United States Navy for 10 years in which he served as a chaplain’s assistant. Upon his honorable discharge, he went to community college and then transferred to UC Davis where he obtained a degree in nutrition science with a focus on biochemistry. He then went on to medical school at UC Riverside and recruited physicians specifically for primary care roles. He completed his Family Medicine residency in Santa Maria California and now serves as the medical director of a small network of clinics in Northern California near Mount Shasta.
