Madeline Babb, MS I
Madeleine began her academic career at Santa Barbara City College where she majored in Biological Sciences. At SBCC, she served as president of the SBCC Biology Club, secretary for the Pre-Med Club, and worked as a math and biology tutor. In 2019, Madeleine transferred to University of California, Los Angeles and graduated summa cum laude with a degree in Molecular, Cell, and Developmental Biology and minor in Genetics and Society. After graduation, she took two gap years where she worked as a Mohs surgery histology technician and served in the PreMedCC leadership team. She is now a first-year medical student at University of Rochester, School of Medicine and Dentistry. Madeleine’s special interests include medical humanities, gastroenterology, and decreasing disparities in medical education. She is passionate about helping non-traditional premedical students achieve their goals of a career in medicine and is honored to work with PreMedCC.

Trinity Papamanjaris

Trinity Papamandjaris
Trinity Papamandjaris is from London, Ontario, Canada, a recent grad of the University of Guelph with a degree in Biomedical Science. She is a former varsity/Division I basketball player. Her family is pretty small since she doesn’t have any siblings. She lives with both of her parents, who are chefs, as well as her dog Luna. Her hobbies include tennis, cooking, and reading mostly fantasy novels.
In her undergrad, Trinity did research in a lab that focused on omega-3 fatty acids. Her specific project involved researching the use of omega-3 fatty acid consumption in the student-athlete population to investigate its use as a method to manage and prevent concussions. She also had the privilege of studying at one of the only undergraduate institutions that had a human anatomy program. She did dissection projects in that lab on the lower limb and fetal blood supply. She volunteered at Guelph General Hospital in the Emergency Department; she loved getting experience in such a fast paced environment and it definitely reinforced her desire to explore emergency medicine as a specialty. She also has an interest in surgery and neonatology. Some of the other causes she volunteered with included the Athletics Advisory Council.
She is currently entering her gap year and will be working full time as a research associate at the Cardiac Rhythm Clinic at University Hospital in London. She will be applying to medical school in Canada this cycle. In her year off she also looks forward to exploring new hobbies. She hopes to get involved in coaching, music, and other recreational sports. She is also really excited to learn sign language. Finally, she has become very passionate about women’s health and is actively looking for ways to get involved.
