Workshop Description:
For community college and university students considering a future in veterinary medicine, this workshop offers a valuable opportunity to gain direct insight into the admissions process at the UC Davis Weill School of Veterinary Medicine. Brandy McCall, MBA, Director of Admissions and Recruitment, will discuss academic preparation, prerequisite planning, veterinary and animal experience, application strategy, and the qualities admissions committees consider when evaluating prospective students. Participants will gain a clearer understanding of how to prepare thoughtfully, present their experiences effectively, and approach the application process with greater confidence and purpose. Whether you are beginning at a community college, preparing to transfer, or planning to apply in the near future, this session will help you better understand the path ahead. Come, ask your questions, and get answers directly from a leader in veterinary admissions. Hear information from the source instead of relying on second-hand advice, misinformation, or people unfamiliar with the admissions process. Your academic starting point does not define your potential. With preparation, persistence, and informed guidance, your path to veterinary medicine can become a very real possibility.
