You’ll gain a comprehensive understanding of effective memory techniques and learn how to apply your knowledge for both immediate success on exams like the MCAT and long-term mastery in med school and beyond.
We will begin by exploring the theoretical foundations of learning and memory, including active recall, spaced repetition, and the forgetting curve. Then, we’ll dive into practical, actionable steps for organizing your studies, deepening your understanding, and building true mastery. You’ll receive hands-on guidance in creating and using spaced repetition flashcards, along with essential principles for their practical use.
Learning how to learn is crucial for your academic success, both now and in the future. Don’t miss this opportunity to revolutionize your study habits and set yourself up for a successful medical & STEM career!

About the Speakers:

Martin Schneider, MS

Martin Schneider is the founder and CEO of RemNote, a popular spaced repetition and learning tool with over 1 million users. His passion for effective learning strategies began during his time at MIT, where he struggled with retaining information for classes and exams. This personal experience led him to dive deep into learning science, particularly focusing on techniques like active recall, spaced repetition, and effective note-taking.
For the past seven years, Martin has been using and teaching spaced repetition methods for effective learning. His mission is to help students worldwide achieve their learning goals by providing them with powerful, science-backed learning techniques and tools. He holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree from MIT.

Muhammad Khan, MS II

Muhammad Khan is a second-year medical student with a teaching background in teaching upper-level anatomy and as a tutor. Muhammad will share effective study strategies for the MCAT and med school, drawing from personal experience and proven techniques. By sharing practical advice and lessons learned, Muhammad seeks to empower aspiring medical students with valuable tools for success in their MCAT preparation and beyond.
