Workshop Description:
For community college and university premedical students who want a clearer understanding of what medical schools look for, this workshop offers a valuable opportunity to learn directly from Cristobal Barrios Jr., MD, FACS, Dean of Admissions at UC Irvine School of Medicine. Dr. Barrios will share insight into the admissions process, what makes an applicant competitive, how experiences and academic preparation are evaluated, and how students can strengthen their path toward medical school. Whether you are beginning at a community college, preparing to transfer, or getting ready to apply, this session is designed to help you make informed decisions with greater confidence and purpose. Come, ask your questions, and get answers from someone who understands the process firsthand. Hear directly from the source instead of relying on second-hand information, bad advice, or people who have no clue about medical school admissions. Your starting point does not determine your destination. With preparation, persistence, and accurate guidance, you can build a meaningful path toward UC Irvine School of Medicine and a future in medicine with confidence.
