Then come to hear how Dr. Ivanov started his education at Community College, was a first generation college graduate and attended the prestigious Mayo Clinic Alix Medical School.

About the Speaker:

Dr. Ivanov was born in the United States to parents who just immigrated from Russian refugees and settled in Sacramento, CA . After graduating high school, Dr. Ivanov attended Sierra College and American River College in the Sacramento region, where many of his professors and mentors inspired him. He subsequently transferred to UC Davis and completed his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, being the first generation college graduate.
He subsequently gained admission to the prestigious Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine in Rochester Minnesota, where he spent his time using their unique selective system to expand his knowledge and interests in medicine. He is the first person in his family to become a physician.
He continued his medical training at Stanford School of Medicine Department of Orthopedic Surgery, where he is learning the skills to become an Orthopedic Surgeon.
In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, loved ones, and his beautiful wife, Varsha who is a Podiatric Surgery Resident at Kaiser Permanente.
