Workshop Description:
Are you a community college or university student dreaming of medical school but unsure about the next steps? This workshop is your opportunity to gain firsthand insights into the journey from community college to the medical field. Madeleine Babb, a current second-year medical student at the University of Rochester and former President of PreMedCC, will share the essential steps, strategies, and experiences that propelled her forward on this challenging yet achievable path. You’ll learn how to navigate academic prerequisites, strengthen your application, find supportive mentorship, and overcome obstacles unique to community college transfer students. Unlike generalized advice, this workshop is built on real experience and success, offering you guidance directly from someone who understands your starting point. Madeleine’s story proves that with the right strategies, community college students can successfully reach medical school and thrive. Take advantage of this rare chance to connect, learn, and set yourself up for success on your journey to a white coat.
