Although an acute pain specialist, he received in-depth training in many disciplines including general anesthesia, OB anesthesia, pediatric anesthesia, cardiac anesthesia, intensive care and perioperative medicine.
John is very involved in leadership. In addition, John was (and remains) actively involved with The California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) and The American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA).
John’s goal is to leverage his MBA, leadership skills and healthcare background to actively participate in efforts focusing on healthcare cost containment, the evolution of medical education and redefining value in health care. He is passionate about organizational management, technology and innovation, and big data. In addition, John is involved in mentorship and believes strongly in ensuring that one’s gifts, talents and successes are used to help the disadvantaged and/or next generation recognize their full potential.
